Questions?
What type of cargo can be transloaded?
Finished goods or materials for production can all be transloaded through Prince Rupert. Goods can be floor loaded, palletized, on a slip sheet or crated, we handle it all.
What are the benefits of consolidation?
By consolidating four ocean containers into three domestic rail containers, costs and carbon emissions can be reduced, while providing importers with the flexibility to redistribute cargo upon arrival in North America.
Which North American markets do you serve?
CN’s intermodal program serves major cities like Chicago, Detroit, Memphis, Toronto and Montreal among others. Additional cities not directly served by CN can be accessed through CN’s partner network.
How do I ship US destined goods through a Canadian port?
Cargo destined for the US can transit through Canada without clearing customs (under bond), including transloading activities. Our team of customs specialists ensures that all cargo has the necessary bonds and clearances upon reaching its final destination.
How are the shipments coordinated and tracked?
The synchronized collaboration among port, rail, drayage, and transload teams guarantees swift pickup, seamless transloading, thorough documentation, and daily status updates.
